BlackJacketMusic responds:

not that i know of
(also i have no idea who acid notation is)

writing this down as i'm listening

the watery sounds in the beginning are nice, and i like how you introduce the drums. that bitcrushed synth is really pretty, and i also like the little hoover sound in the buildup. oh, a pwm synth in the drop! i love those! the piano solo is pretty and all the little sounds are pretty too. i like how you brought that synth back in. the way you've made a variation on that theme is cool, and the way you made the synth trail off at the beginning of the second buildup is great too. I do feel like the second drop could have used a crash cymbal or something at the start, but that's minor. personally i like the synth in the second drop less, i kind of wish you would have brought back that pwm synth. the ending chords are very beautiful! i personally would have put a second piano solo at the end with more sparse notes, just to give it a nice flair.

sorry if these thoughts are a bit disorganized. overall, i really liked this piece and i hope it gets more attention! keep it up!

Ziondiac responds:

Thanks for the feedback and vote

really dreamy as the description would suggest, the synths and drums are full but not overbearing, and the effects are really nice!

GreyHooves responds:

Thank you! Mixing isn't really my strong point so I'm glad it turned out alright :D

really love the distorted lead and the general glitchiness of this song! the mixing isn't too bad, though it does seem somewhat distorted. also, the song does feel a bit empty at times, perhaps you can add a pad or some sound effects. but everything else is great, and i'd love to see where you'll go!

NascentMusic responds:

Thanks so much for the comment! I'll always keep trying to improve my music with feedback like yours! :))

i've always loved your more electronic oriented songs, and this certainly falls under that category. it almost feels like vgm, in a very good way! the "messy" feeling feels more to me like a driving feeling as well

ssymboint responds:

Thank you for your feedback. I'm happy you liked it. :D

this is very minimal with minimal mixing, but i actually kind of like it! the melodies are as catchy as they are dissonant, and that organ sound is pretty nice

Tritnew responds:

Thank you! This one was very off-the-cuff and intentionally minimal, and a way to test nice dissonant melodies. This one was super fun to do!

feels like a remix of undertale song, except the song doesn't exist and you just managed to flawlessly recreate the undertale feeling

amazing use of appoggiaturas here

chiptami responds:

i was a toby fox fanboy for a time period, glad to see that remnants of it still exists right now
(even though i can't hear it myself xDD)

very oldschool circa newgrounds 2009 esque feel here

please finish it!! it'd be such a banger

gdalkali responds:

Hey AutumnCheney, thanks for the review! I will try to get round to finishing this if I ever get some more ideas for it. Glad you like it

came here from the audio advertisements thread

i like it, though i should point out that this song is miscategorized. i do feel like the kick can be harder, since it is a hardstyle song after all, and the risers could be shorter and have some filters applied to them

other than these, this is a solid song! keep at it, and enjoy the scout!

Tresletter responds:

totally agree. thanks!
