Make a lot of garbage. I mean it, finish every song even if you think it's garbage, a completed work trumps every unfinished song you make. Not everything will be a masterpiece, but the more you do it the more you'll learn. Also take it easy on yourself success takes a long time and the more you do it the easier it will be.
